Since Robin and Keith can’t join forces physically this year--or chase 100+ birds in a single day--they have decided to bird in place safely at their home patches: Robin in Redondo Beach, CA, Keith in Tucson, AZ. And, this time, they’re not just counting birds …
They are counting EVERY SINGLE LIVING THING they can identify (and probably some they can’t) -- introducing themselves to the full roster of the habitats around their homes: bugs, bushes, reptiles, furry critters, spiders, weeds, trees and whatever else is out there sharing their lives. Oh, yes, and of course: birds, birds, BIRDS!!
What’s more, they will be at it … cataloging and identifying ... for a full month, April 7 to May 7. The Bird in Place Bioblitz is on! Our goal? 200 species, when we combine our lists -- $3,000 dollars for Tucson Audubon, when we combine your donations! Guess what else? We are going to blog about it all for you with photos, findings, lists and more.
